Will Eagles fly on Monday Night Football?

After losing four of their first five games the Philadelphia Eagles have bounced back with consecutive victories over the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys. Now Michael Vick and company will try to run that streak to three when they get a visit from the Chicago Bears on Monday night (8:30pm ET, ESPN).

The Eagles, a Super Bowl favorite at the outset of the season, started the year with a 31-13 win over the Rams in St. Louis, but after that they fell on hard times with losses to the Falcons, Giants, Niners, and Bills before slipping past the Redskins.

Then Philadelphia returned from its bye last week to thump the rival Cowboys 34-7 behind strong performances from both Vick and running back LeSean McCoy.

Vick completed 21 of his 28 pass attempts for 279 yards against Dallas, throwing two touchdown strikes while also rushing for 50 yards on seven carries. On the season Vick now has a Quarterback Rating of 90.0 with a TD/INT ratio of 11/8 in seven games while throwing for 1,852 yards and running for 422 yards.

McCoy ran for 185 yards and two touchdowns versus the Cowboys on 30 carries. Brent Celek had seven catches for 94 yards and a score, while Jeremy Maclin had a TD reception to go along with 54 yards through the air.

That win put the Eagles at 3-4 straight up and 3-4 against the spread on the season, and they sit two games behind the New York Giants in the NFC East standings and in a tie with both the Cowboys and the Redskins. On the Oddsmaker Super Bowl futures board Philly sits at +2000 to win the big game in February.

And the Eagles are also 7.5-point home favorites at Oddsmaker in their game against the Bears on Monday night, with an OVER/UNDER at 47.5 points.

Chicago is 4-3 straight up and 3-4 against the spread after entering last week's bye off back-to-back wins over the Vikings at home and the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay.

Against the Bucs in Week 7 Chicago grabbed a 24-18 win behind a 145-yard, one-touchdown rushing performance from Matt Forte. Bears QB Jay Cutler went 17 of 32 for 226 yards in that contest with one touchdown and two interceptions, while Roy Williams had four catches for 59 yards and a score.

The Bears might have a better record than the Eagles but they're farther back in their division standings, trailing the Green Bay Packers by three games in the NFC North. That has Chicago sitting at +5000 at Oddsmaker to win the Super Bowl.

Chicago played host to Philadelphia last November, winning 31-26 as a 3.5-point home underdog in an OVER result. The Bears are 3-2 SU and 3-2 ATS over their last five meetings with the Eagles, with the OVER/UNDER at 2-3 in those contests.

Oddsmaker will have updated Monday Night Football lines along with odds for the complete Week 9 NFL slate and both Super Bowl and conference title futures.
